Friends of Parks – What We Do

The Mission of the Friends of Parks is to promote & preserve local parks. We are a group of volunteers, dedicated to building healthy communities through parks, recreation & conservation efforts that enhance the quality of life for all. We work with the City of Bozeman and other like minded organizations to instigate beautification and functionally needed park projects and supplement where funds are needed. Over the past 20 years we have helped with park bridges, crosswalks, sidewalks, basketball courts, baseball dugouts, playgrounds, bike racks, water fountains, started the Bozeman Creek Enhancement project, the facelift of Bogert Pool, pay for the gardening at 5 parks in town, and the list goes on…. 🙂

We raise money by running the Bozeman Farmers Market which is a free event and open to the public in beautiful Lindley Park. This market is an incubator for innovative ideas and talents. Many many businesses in our community have come from the humble beginnings of just a table and tent at our Market.

Bozeman Farmers’ Market also participates in the annual Give Big Gallatin Valley fundraising event to raise funds for parks improvements.
